Workshop with Blessed Unrest

I recently had the honor to attend a callback-workshop with the talented devised theatre company Blessed Unrest.  This balls-out, passionate, utterly delightful group of people runs the company in an Eastern European style that reminds me of my work with Synetic Theater— they hold “workshops” to teach new potential company members to work together to use a unique set of skills, and then tap people to work on shows based on what the company is creating.  The company draws on ideas from Suzuki, Viewpoints, pantomime, clown, and classical acting, to name a few sources.  It was fantastic to reaffirm my love for this work– can’t wait to see what the future holds!
